Home Renovation Poem

For almost three years Josh and I have been living through extensive home renovations.  Trying to raise our boys in the midst of the chaos and change has been… trying.  I’d love to share a bit of our journey with you as I highlight some pictures and memories from Our Home Renovation Saga.

This is a poem Josh wrote on our walls during the home renovations.  As I started typing it out from the photo, I realized he’s writing mainly about ME!  I was going to stop the post, but I’ll go ahead and share it with you if you don’t mind…. my husband is really awesome and he’s a great writer also.

Sometimes I get tired of fixing our house

And the constant mess, chaos, disorder

But never shall I get tired of my spouse

No force on earth could make me tire of her

My wife is my princess, my love, my friend

A blessing from God, who reigns high above

Unshakable, secure, without an end.

Who embodies to me God’s own love

Mother unsurpassed, caring for her boys.

Described for us in Proverbs 31

Sharing with her guys, both their pains and joys

Stalwart, unfailing, the job never done.

Though tired of fixing, I want you to see

We’re fixing our place, to build family.
